Kendra Glenn has been named assistant principal at Marshall County High School. Glenn is currently the principal at Calvert City Elementary School. She will take over for Evan Merrick, who will become principal at MCHS in January.
Glenn is in her 24th year in education, bringing a deep commitment to students, families, and school communities. She spent 17 years in the classroom before moving into school leadership, where she has served for the past 6½ years. Since fall of 2020, Kendra has proudly served as the principal of Calvert City Elementary School, supporting both academic growth and a positive school culture. She is a graduate of Murray State University and currently serves as a consultant for the Kentucky Center for Safe Schools, as well as a member of KASA’s State Safety Council.
“We are excited to add Kendra to our staff and administrative team,” said MCHS incoming principal Evan Merrick. “ She brings with her years of administrative experience and has a skillset that will fit in very well into the work we are putting together at MCHS. We plan on getting her settled in over Christmas Break so that we are able to make progress going into our spring semester. I’m proud to have her on board with us!”
“I am honored and excited to join Marshall County High School,” Glenn said. “ I look forward to listening, learning, and working collaboratively to support students and strengthen an already outstanding school community.”
Kendra is married to Chris Glenn and together they have two children: Brady, a senior at Marshall County High School, and Mia, an eighth grader at North Marshall Middle School. Her official start date is January 1, 2026.
