Sharpe Elementary hosted a Heroes Meet and Greet on November 3rd.
Veterans were invited to share their military experience with fifth graders as students rotated from station to station in the gym.
In the clasroom, teachers Jennifer McClard and Blair Mathis say students have been learning about the branches of the military, different wars the United States has been involved in, and different memorials honoring the military. But they say it's a special treat to hear directly from the veterans and their families about what serving our country really means to them.
