Marshall Male Conference attendees work on balloon project

The 3rd Annual Marshall Male Conference is taking place today at Twin Lakes Worship Center in Draffenville. The conference is a component of the Marshall County School District's Gifted and Talented Program.

The conference, each fall, is for gifted males in grades 4-12. Kentucky State Police Major David Archer was the guest speaker.

The MMC is planned and implemented by the Student Leadership class at Marshall County High School. All aspects of the conference are decided by the students in that class. Every task and activity at the conference, including a ballon drop, promotes leadership skills that include effective communication and collaboration, critical and creative thinking, and problem-solving,

Thanks to all the sponsors who help make this conference possible.
