SES 5th Graders tour basement of courthouse

A trip to the Marshall County Courthouse today allowed a group of Sharpe Elementary 5tth graders the chance to learn more about our county's history and how local government works.

The students also visited the Veteran's Memorial Plaza at Mike Miller Park to learn about county residents who have served or are currently serving in the US Armed Forces or Coast Guard.

Each year, Sharpe 5th graders complete a huge project for Veterans Day, and teachers Jennifer McClard and Blair Mathis hope to soon reveal new developments on that front after talking with Judge Executive Kevin Spraggs and Deputy Judge Executive Andy Pagel.  Stay tuned!
