Marshall County Schools on list of America’s Healthiest Schools 2025
This National award recognizes leaders in whole child health policy and practice change.
National children’s health organization, Alliance for a Healthier Generation, has unveiled its 2025 list of America’s Healthiest Schools, celebrating 1,119 K–12 schools nationwide for their commitment to advancing whole child health. This year's list includes Benton, Calvert City, Jonathan, Sharpe, and South Marshall Elementary Schools, South Marshall MIddle School and Marshall County High School.
Supported by Del Monte Foods, Kaiser Permanente, and Kohl’s Cares, Healthier Generation’s annual award program recognizes schools for implementing evidence-based policies and practices to support academic success.
Benton Elementary was awarded in 5 areas:

Cultivating Staff Well-Being
Increasing Family & Community Engagement

Calvert City Elementary was specifically recognized for the topic of Increasing Family and Community Engagement!

Jonathan Elementary was recognized for cultivating staff well-being, while Sharpe and South Marshall Elementaries and Marshall County High School were recognized for bolstering physical education and activity.
South Marshall MIddle was honored in the category of enriching health education.
