Marshall County Schools is pleased to announce that Lyndsie Dempsey has been named as the new principal at Jonathan Elementary School. She is replacing Paul Lamb, who has taken another job within the district.
Dempsey is an accomplished educator and school leader with over two decades of experience in Elementary Education and Administration. She has a strong foundation in elementary education and a deep commitment to fostering academic excellence, inclusive leadership, and a positive school culture. With advanced degrees in Reading and Writing, Teacher Leadership, and Administration, she brings a well-rounded and research-informed approach to instructional leadership and school improvement.
Throughout her career, she has held a range of impactful leadership roles, including Assistant Principal at Benton Elementary School, curriculum coordinator, mentor, and active contributor to both school and district-level committees. Her professional experience spans leading high-quality professional development, implementing student-centered behavior frameworks, and participating in national school leadership initiatives. Lyndsie is known for her ability to lead with clarity and purpose, guiding teams through collaborative decision-making, data-informed planning, and the strategic pursuit of schoolwide goals.
In addition, she has served on national leadership review teams, providing insights and guidance to schools working toward leadership and culture development goals.
