The Marshall Merch store is officially open for the 2026-2027 school year. A Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held Thursday in the commons area at MCHS, where the store is located.
Store CEO Kamdyn Phillips says Marshall Merch was created by students for our community as a way to bring school spirit to life. She says every shirt, hoodie, hat, and accessory sold is designed to represent not only the school colors but also the pride and energy that make Marshall County special.
The store gives students hands on experience and prepares them for future careers in areas like graphic design, marketing, customer service, inventory control, and managing real world business situations.
Marshall Merch President Landen Thorn emphasized teamwork during his comments at the grand opening. He said what customers see in the store is only a small portion of the work that goes on behind the scenes. He says students take on real responsibilities and work together like a real business.
A total of 31 students are part of the store's executive team, marketing team, and sales and operations team. MCHS business teacher Katie Feagin is the store's supervising teacher.
Students are able to shop Marshall Merch during all lunch periods throughout the school day.
Because the store is located inside the school, walk-in shopping isn't offered to the community during school hours. However, community members are welcome to contact Feagin by email to schedule a time to shop or to place an order.
Beginning next week, Marshall Merch will also be set up at select home sporting events, giving families and community members another opportunity to shop!
Bulk T-shirt orders for businesses, organizations, clubs, teams, and other groups is also available. Anyone interested in placing a custom order can contact Feagin at Katie.feagin@marshall.kyschools.us for more information.
