Dear Marshall County Community,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year and officially introduce myself to the whole community. It is difficult to express the overwhelming gratitude and honor I feel as I assume the role as the Superintendent of Marshall County Schools. It is a great privilege to have been selected as the new Superintendent of Marshall County Schools and I look forward to serving this community.
Marshall County Schools offers many opportunities for our students to be successful while in our care, but more importantly, to be successful after they leave our schools. I value all of the work that has been done in this district up to this point to develop the many programs and services in place. I am fully committed to building upon past practices to ensure that current and future students have opportunities to explore their interests and find their true passions. I believe that helping students find their passion in life, and then building a path to make that passion a reality, is our most important task as educators.
As I underwent the interview process, it was overwhelmingly evident that there is a strong sense of community pride in Marshall County. From the time that I was offered this position, I have experienced it firsthand, day after day. As I continue to meet staff members, parents, students, and residents, each person I have met has been extremely welcoming and helpful. Please know that it is my intent to make every effort to foster and build on this culture, to ensure the continued success of our students, schools, district, and community.
While serving as Superintendent, I plan to be accessible to all stakeholders and maintain an open communication policy. I am excited about the future for Marshall County Schools. I know that there are so many great people out there that I have not met, and I look forward to that opportunity in the coming weeks and months.
Most importantly, we look forward to having our students back in school for another school year. I cannot wait to get out into our schools and see the great things that occur every day in Marshall County Schools.
Steve Miracle Ed.D
