Virtual Instruction Beginning 11/16/20

Letter from the Superintendent

UPDATE 11/19/20

Middle and High Schools will remain in virtual instruction only through January 4, 2021.
Elementary school students may return to in-person classes on December 7, 2020 provided Marshall County is not still considered a red county on the KDPH Covid-19 Incident rate.

Due to a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases and student/ staff quarantines, the Marshall County School District will change to Virtual Only instruction on Monday, November 16, 2020. We will remain on virtual instruction through the Thanksgiving Break. On Wednesday, November 25, 2020 we will be in contact with the Marshall County Health Department to reassess the situation. Unless we continue to see a surge in cases and quarantines, we will return to both in-person and virtual learning on Monday, November 30, 2020.

We wanted to let everyone know as soon as possible to allow teachers to prepare students for virtual learning and allow parents the opportunity to find childcare.

We ask that you please wear face coverings and continue social distancing during this time so we can return to in-person learning.

Thank you for your continued support of the Marshall County School District.

Trent Lovett

Superintendent

Marshall County Schools
