The Marshall County Board of Education is happy to announce that Mrs. Darla Doss has joined the Board as the representative from school board division #2.
Mrs. Doss grew up in nearby Trigg County, graduating from TCHS in 1988. After obtaining her degree in Business Administration from UK in 1992, she married her husband, Brian, and returned to western Kentucky, quickly growing roots in Marshall County with the creation of Doss Dentistry in 1993.
Mrs. Doss and her husband have two children, Devan and Derek, who are proud Marshall County Marshals, graduating from MCHS in 2014 and 2018 respectively.
Besides her role as office manager at Doss Dentistry, Mrs. Doss is a member of First Baptist Church; a 20+year volunteer member of the Benton Woman’s Club; and is currently serving her second term as Treasurer for GFWC Kentucky (General Federation of Women’s Clubs). She enjoys spending time on the lake, hanging out with her friends and family, and making crafts.
Says Mrs. Doss of her new role: "I can’t wait to jump in and get involved with my new position on the Marshall County School Board. Go Marshals!"
Mrs. Doss was appointed to the vacant seat following the resignation of former member Mrs. Diane Barga. We are excited to welcome Mrs. Doss to the district, and we thank Mrs. Barga for her many years of service to the district as both an employee and more recently as a member of the Board.
