At the January 29th meeting of the Kentucky Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform, Benton Middle School was designated a 2008 Kentucky Schools to Watch. Benton balances the Schools to Watch components, academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, and social equity for all students, as well as incorporating organizational structures and processes appropriate for students at this age level.
