Our center opened in 2000.  It was created as a part of the Kentucky Education Reform Act.  The purpose is to enhance our students' abilities to succeed in school by developing and sustaining partnerships that promote early learning and successful transition into school and academic achievement and well-being. This is done by providing community services at the center and by linking families to agencies in the community.

All enrolled children and their families at Benton Elementary and Central Elementary can use its services.  The center also provides services to families living in those areas. 

We are open year-round Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m..  We are open other hours by appointment.  You may phone us at
