FAMILY WEEK

SEPTEMBER 5 - 11

The purpose of Family Week is to encourage families to spend time together through various activities sponsored by community organizations throughout Marshall County.  Below is a list of activities for the week. 

SUNDAY - Attend church as a family.  Then attend a picnic and concert at Mike Miller Park from 1:30 - 3:30.

MONDAY - Spend Labor Day as a family and have an outdoor cookout. 

TUESDAY - Maggie's Jungle Golf Night from 5:00 - 8:00.  $3 per game

WEDNESDAY - Attend a church service and eat dinner as a family.

THURSDAY - Benton Library Family Night.  Scott Shupe's World of Reptiles Show will be there from 4:30 - 6:00.

FRIDAY - Fishing With Families Night at Clarks River Wildlife Refuge Pond (across from WCBL) from 5:00 - 7:00

SATURDAY - Family Fun Day at Mike Miller Park.  Fun Run from 8:00 - 10:00. Free activities the inflatables, parade of EMS responders, lunch, musical petting zoo, games, face painting, petting zoo and more!

Dads are invited to come enjoy a doughnut and milk with their children before school.  Look for information coming home soon so you can sign up for which day you will come. 


FAMILY READING NIGHT

BENTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

SEPTEMBER 23

Students and their parents are invited to come to school from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. for Family Reading Night.  Students can visit the book fair, take AR tests, and enjoy refreshments.  Be sure to come to the cafeteria to get a free book from the family resource center. 


KENTUCKY FAMILY CAREGIVER PROGRAM

The Kentucky Grandparent program has restarted for another fiscal year.  If you are a grandparent who is raising your grandchild because the child's parents are not able to do so, you may be eligible for the program.  Contact Nancy Harper with the Purchase Area Development District at
