My name is Ms. Crystal and I am so happy to be the library media specialist at Benton Elementary!  This is the beginning of my 6th year here at BES.  My students are not just students.  They are like family to me, and so are my wonderful co-workers.

It is so important to me that students enjoy their library time and learn to enjoy and appreciate reading.  I am constantly looking for suggestions and appreciate ANY comments that I receive.   It is my goal for the library to be the hub of the school.  Please feel free to contact me any time.

My pride and joy is my furry son, Keimosabi.  He's just a mutt, but he's a beauty.  He is 4 now, but he still thinks he's small enough to sit in my lap at 65 lbs.!!!  His favorite thing to do is to take me for a walk in Mike Miller Park.  (I try to walk him, but he drags me all over the place.)

I have loved to read for as long as I can remember.  It has always been my favorite way to pass the time.  I hope that I can pass a little of this love on to my students.  My other favorite hobbies include painting, drawing, scrapbooking and taking pictures!

My favorite quote:

Outside of a dog, a book is mans' best friend. Inside of a dog it is too dark to read.
