ANNOTATIONS FOR 2004 RELEASED ITEMS NOW AVAILABLE Now available on the KDE website are sample student responses and instructional connections paired to every 2004 released item. These additions to the items should help instructional planning. The sample student responses include examples of actual student answers to the pen response released items. Included are examples at score points 1, 2, 3, and 4 that are annotated to the scoring guide. The annotations highlight the content included in the answer and explain the reason for the particular score with a summary statement. Some of the scoring guides have additional scorer notes added for clarification. The instructional connections section contains multiple classroom strategies suggested for teaching the identified core content assessed by the released item. Open Response Item Bank Jefferson County has developed an Open Response Item Bank for teachers to access. It contains over 1,500 ORQ's in all grade levels and subjects covered by Core Content. These questions were developed by teachers. Please share this with your teachers as you see fit. Go to www.jefferson.k12.ky.us. See Mrs. Johnson or the STC for the password.
